Minutes of the meeting of 4/7/14

Select Board Members Present: Muriel Lazzarini, Chairperson and Wayne Burkhart

Miscellaneous Select Board Items Reviewed:
1. Mail was reviewed which included:
b. Notification from DEP on the availability of the 2014 Sustainable Materials Recovery Program – Municipal Grant Application.
2. The Schedule A has been completed and sent into the state.
3. SBRSD: Muriel thanked Wayne for the emails sent to Bruce Turner and Susan Bacheldor with regards to the school building authority monies and historical preservation respectively.
4. The Board reviewed and was very gracious for the updated levy limits and budget comparison spreadsheets (attached) that Barbara Gauthier provided last week which show that we have an excess levy of approximately $85,000 right now (some of the numbers may change). bugcompwksht.pdflevylimitwksht.pdf
5. Wendy Germain and Dennis Lynch came in to continue the discussions on the Town Facility Task Force. They provided the attached document which summarized their meeting of March 22, 2014. They explained that this is a grass roots effort to solicit new and current ideas to help focus on the needs of the Town with regards to several areas. Wendy asked for clarification on what the Town Facility Task Force’s modus operandi will be once the key players have been decided upon and appointed. Muriel explained that right now she and Wayne have differing opinions on this and she suggested that this conversation be continued when Scott returns. The Select Board supports the Monterey2020’s group efforts and appreciates the efforts and communication as a community group not endorsed by

6. Executive Secretary’s weekly report was reviewed.
